I got my first sale on Folksy yesterday evening, since moving back from “the dark side - you know, that other site we cant mention that advertises on TV snd has a new gift list function” in September of last year. Its a good order too.
So, customer has paid via Stripe, I’ve never used it before, all new to me, and apparently its ok for me to send the parcel because the transaction has gone through but i wont get the money until next Tuesday - I will be busy and wont be able to check as thats the day of my father in laws funeral.
So, I’m ready to send order out but I can’t see how to print receipt out at all from Stripe for my records and i need it show their fees and the Folksy fees that it is taking at point of sale. Do I have to wait until the money is transferred to my bank and then I get the option? Help please.

Hi Julia,
Congrats on the sale!
From your Stripe dashboard, select ‘Payments’ from the left hand navigation panel and from there, scroll down to find your payment and click it once, which opens into a new view that gives you details of the payment, including the fees:

For my accounts I just record the Stripe fees monthly. About the 4th of every month they issue you with a statement of total fees paid previous month and I simply download it and file it.
Ps have you seen that that sale has put you at no. 3 in the Best Sellers list ?

Thanks, I found that last night but how do I print off that info with the fees showing as well?
I never print things off from Stripe myself, I keep a simple Excel spreadsheet where I record sales as they happen and note the Stripe and Folksy fee separately against each one.
You can always run a report on Stripe to show fees, but beware that it will only show you fees as a total (which I think is what it does on the monthly report that Joy mentioned - either that or the monthly report will show Stripe fees only and not the Folksy portion.

If you really want to print off the view of the payment as I had in my original post above, the only way I know how to do that is to click the ‘i’ information icon next to the fees to open up the little breakdown window and then do a screen grab which you can then paste into Word or whichever program you like to use.
Just pulled down my April and it is dated 5th not 4th.
I never print anything though. Safe the planet and all that. My computer keeps perfect digital records for me.
You can usually right click and print, this is what I do but it does print off a load of stuff I don’t need so when the print preview is up I select the first maybe second sheet as well and print those :).
Only monetary value and it also includes postage… which to me is totally wrong but there you go. If someone sell overseas the same value as someone who sells only UK and therefore much less postage the overseas seller will rank above you.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t show the little fees breakdown window that she wants
