Just tried to set up my listings for tagging in the new Instagram shopping, we had an email today ( June 24th 2020 ) about how to configure everything only to find that my shop isn’t approved. I have followed all of the instructions and everything is linked, but it wont let me set it up, that’s two hours of my time I will not get back !!

I managed it - I was one of the guinea pigs that lead to the trouble shooting section at the bottom as I was going round in circles at one point. There was a massive discussion in the clubhouse whilst we tried to figure out what was causing the problem and since I’ve checked your FB page and you don’t have the classic problem the only thing I can suggest is that you delink everything and start again as recommended in this article https://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/how-to-get-approved-instagram-shopping-product-tags/
The fact this article even exists suggests that sometimes even when everything is set up ok instagram throws a wobbly and you have to clear its brain so that it looks at stuff with a fresh set of eyes.

@bagsofelegance I know how you feel but from a different angle. I already had my tagging in place and it was working well except for it was time consuming and I thought if I added the feed it would save me manually adding to my facebook shop and having to delete when something sold. What a huge mistake!
I added the feed that went fine but then facebook threw a huge fit saying I couldn’t have the same products listed twice and I had to delete my manual ones which then deleted all the tags over on Instagram so I had nothing in my Instagram shop section! Then facebook said everything was under review with multiple errors with descriptions so when I tagged in Instagram everything was still under review and some things it wouldn’t allow the tag at all! I tried to update the folksy data feed in facebook and then everything disappeared altogether and I have one item in my shop which is the one item I manually added from Etsy!
So if anyone already has shopping tags set up on Instagram leave them as they are, it is not worth the aggravation!
I now have to enter 90+ items back in my facebook shop to be able to set up my tags on Instagram again!
Update so far, my folksy data feed has updated and my items are back in facebook, some of my tagged items on Instagram are back to being tagged but everything on Instagram is greyed out and under review?
I have been having issues with adding this link, I spent over 2 hours yesterday setting everything up only to be told by Instagram that my shop was not authorised. I looked at what was wrong and there were 9 products that hadn’t loaded properly so until Folksy can put that right I cant set up the link, what a waste of time .

Yes, although mine has updated now and the products are showing in my facebook shop my Instagram is under review, so no one can access my items from Instagram and yet I had quite a collection set up before and tagging was instant now I’ll have to wait for my folksy feed to update before I can tag stuff. When I have cleared my head I think I may go back to manually adding them as before!
