I’m trying to get my head around all this still lol
Took me 20 minutes to work out how to post!
Just wondering how long it took for people to get sales? I have been active around 3 months. I’m promoting on Facebook/instagram I’m getting traffic but no bites.
Hello @trinashandcrafted you have some really lovely items in your shop and the photographs look good. I have checked a few of your items and the tags are not set out individually but one really long tag. Link below to one that I have picked out.
I you look at the tags on this one they are each set out in individual tags rather than one big description. If you click on one of your tags it would take you to other items for shops with the same tag. The tags are quite useful if you find one which could be matched to the them of the day. The list for this is in your account under improve your shop.
Also if you get your tags right you could be chosen for a gift guide. It isn’t a guarantee of a sale but every bit helps.
Good luck
Yes, your shop is lovely and so are the items. It took me 3 months to get my first sale and I now have over 2100,it takes time and hard work. I agree about the tags…each single tag should have a comma after each one. Also there are themes of the day which give you tags and help you to get on the folksy front page. Also show your work on some of the forum threads…there are lots of different ones you can share on and the more you share, the more you get seen and more people get to know your name…keep going and good luck x
I’ve just had a look at your shop and you have some really lovely items which are photographed beautifully. As others have said it does take time for sales to happen, I think it was about 2 or 3 months before I had my first. It’s very frustrating but hopefully they will start soon. One comment, I had a look at your little baskets, they’re really sweet, and I wasn’t sure if the listing was for one or the three photographed, unless I’m missing something. I agree with Catherine about the tags, they all need to be separate and I also spotted your highland cow doesn’t have any tags, it’s worth investing the time in sorting this.
Good luck
I cant offer much more than what has been already been said i.e. about tags, and about quantities of baskets, apart from one tiny pernickity little typo - in your ‘about’ section it should be ‘of’ 2 dogs, not ‘off’ 2 dogs!
Hi. I’ve just had a quick look at your shop and the first thing I noticed is that lots of your listings are missing measurements, what the item is made of and enough detail about the item. For example, your owl lamp - I wasn’t really sure how it works. The photo doesn’t show any cables, so I wasn’t sure how it works as a lamp and what size it is. Again, your rustic sheep is very cute - but no measurements or details of what its made from. It’s probably worth going through your listings and just double check that if you were a buyer, would it give you everything you needed to know. Hope this is helpful. Alison x
You make some lovey things. I wonder how you are doing on your other online shop and if you are selling on there ? I would suggest you expand your social media to include Instagram and see if that way you can build up your followers. IG is especially good for making reels and MEta likes reels. x
Thank you for the reply I haven’t sold anything as yet. I use facebook and do have instagram, but probably don’t use is as much. I will try the tip thank you
