There is something which is irritating me. Has anybody else noticed the addition at the bottom of each listing ‘Other items in this category’? This sends you, not to other items in your shop, but to other shops. You don’t go to Primark to see ads. for M&S! I pay for a place to sell MY work, and that is what it should be.
Im not seeing it, Ive just had a look at one of your items too and all I get is other items in your shop.
At the bottom of my listings I see “Designed by Katrina in Lake District” and thumbnails for more of my items ![]()
I see where you mean Joss. Near the bottom, there is a section Designed by Jocelyn Hayes in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire with a selection of items in your shop.
Then underneath is the link to More items from this Category. Brings up a search from other shops
Had a look at the other shops here, they are the same.
HI Joss,
I do understand what you’re saying, the link clicks to almost a search for the other items in the same category as your listing! It’s a bit of a difficult one - as a customer if I’d searched for an item, clicked the link to one of yours but it wasn’t quite what I was after I might see this as an easy way to get back to similar items regardless of the seller - I think Amazon probably do something similar! However if I was looking at a persons shop I’d see this potentially differently and definitely see it differently as a seller!
Cheers Lou
Yes! At the very bottom, beneath the thumbnails of other items in your shop and above the place where you are told how many people have loved this item.
As I looked further, I cottoned on to what you mean ![]()
I think most selling sites have this though?

It’s to help people browsing I imagine. If they’ve found something they like, but it’s not quite right, they can keep looking at more and hopefully find something to buy ![]()
Ahh I see it now, I hadn’t noticed it before.
Just to give a bit of context to this discussion, we’ve not made any additions to the item page recently, those breadcrumbs as they’re often referred as (which helps with seo) have been on the item page for many years.
Sorry, I’d not noticed it before - surprising what you find when you go looking!
I think it appeared when they did the listing page redesign in 2021… it was mentioned then if I remember correctly as those of us who spotted it didn’t like the way it took the customer away from our own shop once we had got them there…
Took me a minute to work out , remember the outcome of 2021 discussion. I think at that point the Other Category section (which was for other sellers things) was directly under the listing and probably showed photos of a selection of things…which was not really acceptable…
This must then have been changed so

Was inserted, moved ?? in front of it and the other items is just a title and link with no photos… which is 100% fine.
