Hi everyone
Just about to start listing in my shop and thinking about postage. I was considering offering free postage over a certain value but someone pointed out that when you refund from PayPal/Stripe you don’t get the fees back. Has anyone thought of a way round this or should I just avoid refunds?

Another thing to consider is that Stripe can take quite a while to complete/ process refunds, so it’s not an instant cash back/ discount for customers.
I would avoid making refunding as a discount a common occurrence, especially as customers can still cancel the whole order and want a full refund.
That’s helpful, thank you. I’ve decided to just try having free postage for additional items and see how that goes. Easier on my brain
If you do the Stripe refund immediately it is refunded immediately. By that I think I mean within the same working day before the banks have done their overnight batch processing.
Thanks Joy, that’s good to know.
Thanks Joy, that’s definitely useful info!
