PayPal reversed payment

Hi

PayPal reversed a payment from someone making a purchase from my store…first they said the payment was on hold - this lasted a few days - and then they told me the payment had been reversed:

Unfortunately, this transaction has been declined after we found a risk associated with the payment. We are therefore not able to complete this particular transaction.

Had anyone else had this problem? Any idea what has happened? What should I do!?!?

Thanks

Iv had that problem when selling on eb*y.
It means they didn’t have enough money in their bank account.
Well that’s what it meant when it happened to me.

But I know they reserve money if they think unusual activity is happening on the card.

I’d ring PayPal though to find out what has happened.
Hope this helps
Dawn xx

Don’t send the item out and contact the customer letting them know you are unable to proceed with their order until you receive payment. Explaining their initial payment has failed via paypal.

Let the customer know that the item is once again available for sale should they wish to try making payment again.

Thank you very much Dawn and Eileen for your help…

At the moment the customer has told me that he has not received the money back into his bank account…I am waiting hoping this is just a delay with the banks/PayPal.

He has contacted folksy support about it, although I think the problem has been with PayPal.

As for me, I have cancelled the sale, and am waiting to see what happens…

I would agree the problem will be with paypal and you both might have to given them a call.

Paypal have very good customer service over the phone. Email is ok but by phone is brilliant.

I agree with eileen. Defiantly ring PayPal.
Hope you get it sorted out.
