Printing books

For those of you here on Folksy that are selling books you’ve written/illustrated, can I ask where you are getting them printed, please?

I use Book Printing Uk. Their customer service is great, you have a huge variety of options, depending on your budget, and you can have any size print run (obviously it’s more expensive to do just a few).

These are the books I’ve had printed with them so far (and I’ll be using them again soon): Books by Ada Rose Leighton by Dandelion's Gallery on Folksy

I use Doxdirect - excellent service, great print quality and very affordable. I’ve been using them for years and have always been pleased.

My books are published with Amazon. They do print on demand and you get copies for yourself at a reduced rate.

I use Draft2Digital. There aren’t any upfront costs and my ‘author copies’ (the ones I sign and sell in merch bundles here) are affordable. The royalties from retail platforms (Amazon, Waterstones, ebook retailers, libraries etc) aren’t great but no one’s book royalties are huge, and the customer service team is decent.

Thanks for your replies. I’ve only really heard of Amazon KDP, but wasn’t sure how it would work if I wanted to sell my author copies on a marketplace such as Folksy.
I’m going to look into the printers you’ve suggested.
