Promote Folksy?

A poster for fairs is nice, but surely that means pople have already found or crafts if they are visitin a fair.
We need to get non craft fair visitors curious as to what Folksy is.

Definately car stickers, please! and I like the small postcard idea too.

I agree @GrimmExhibition and I think that the original suggestion by @BigBirdLittleBird of a downloadable poster for coffee shops is a great idea as is car stickers. Any mechanism for reaching out to those that donā€™t usually buy art/craft/handmade and donā€™t know that Folksy exists would be useful.

Some good ideas what about a TV advert, if we all put a quid in I am sure we could make
2 mins at 4.30am on channel 3010 or somewhere.

Car stickers are actually a great idea. It is on display day and night, whether at a craft fair or the supermarket. If every Folksy seller displayed one thatā€™s a lot of potential customers will see it. Not necessarily a slogan bumper sticker (though the suggestions are quite fun) but maybe a small window sticker - think National Trust and RSPB.

I agree it needs to be consistent branding and quality.Could Moo make them? e.g. Could they send one out with a pack of Folksy business cards?

This was the thought behind the idea of a car stickerā€¦
ā€¦we donā€™t have to ask approval from a third party to display it, itā€™s mobile and the audience potential is huge.
For those who prefer 2 wheels they could stick one to their backpack or helmet!

Hi! I was thinking just the same thing - so many people including fellow crafters I meet at fairs havenā€™t heard of Folksy. Promotional postcards we could have on our stalls or leave with local cafes etc would be great.

I like the idea of a tv or radio ad, I for one would be prepared to pay a small fee so that Folksy could do this. It would only need to be brief, something to make people wonder and go to the site to find out more
