Had a couple of sales recently and they have both said they can’t find out how to offer a positive review?
It’s silly. The review request email isn’t sent out for about two weeks. So when the customer gets it the chances (about 95% I would think) they will not bother if they even remember what they bought.
Not had a review for months. . on Folksy anyway
But…. I add a note under my signature on my acknowledgement email nowadays with a link to my Google reviews and they often leave them there.
In fact had two in last two days. Must reply to them with a thank you😀
Request needs to be sent out within 3 days or not worth bothering. As it used to be !
Agree the request to review needs to be sent out earlier. I like you have not had a review for the sales last month. Or automatically let them review like Ebay or Etsy. Perhaps next to their order. 2 weeks I have moved on and would not bother.
I was recently contacted by a customer who bought from me in November. She said she hardly ever leaves reviews, but was so happy with her necklace that she really wanted to this time! It was over two weeks since she bought, so I said to check her emails, including spam - nothing there. I contacted Folksy support and asked them to send the email, which they did, and they said their engineer would check to see why the email hadn’t sent automatically.
So it could be that there’s a problem with the review request emails, and your customers didn’t receive them? If the sales were over a fortnight ago it might be worth contacting support@folksy.co.uk and asking them to resend the email.
I know Folksy want to give customers time before requesting they leave a review on account of items being tied up in the post which could lead to a negative review if the customer hasn’t received the item at that point but I think a week would be ample time. I’ve had a lot of reviews via email and social media messaging, often wherever I’ve initially used to send the confirmation of order etc, But havn’t received one in my Folksy shop for quite some time even when customers have emailed ro say how delighted they are so I wonder whether they are still being sent a reminder.
Has anyone else noticed if they go to their reviews they are now showing the earliest ones first Instead of the latest which is a pain as you have to scroll through them all… or is it just my account ?
Mine are showing fine Debby, the latest one is the one that appears on top.
Yes but re the main point of this topic I see that the review is for a sale not at all recent (no price usually means listing expired) and you have sold lots since without reviews which i think confirms the point that reviews seem not to be being left….
My latest review was for a sale 31 st October and I have had at least 30 THIRTY Sales since then and messages from lots of very happy customers about them but no review here.
And if I were the customer and received a review request 2 weeks after my purchase i would ignore it . Too late !
Are customers able to leave a review anytime they like? Or do they have to wait for an email with a link? It would be absurd if the latter.
If they are signed in they can leave a review against any outstanding purchases right away.
If not signed in they can only leave a review when they receive the email about a specific purchase and these emails are taking ages if they are being sent at all.
I believe this to be the case. Sure i will be corrected i wrong
But you can;t review something you have not purcahsed.
Oh yes, I totally agree and not going to investigate by asking or anything like that, as it is not my or my customers’ job to do. I was only replying to the bit about the order they appear on Debby’s account. Not have too many, but at least they do appear in the correct order (atm) ![]()
Thank you Mina, I will email Folksy as mine are obviously upside down
… @JOYSofGLASS I havn’t received any reviews for quite some time either.
