Good morning all. I have just been searching for some gorgeous goodies to include in a Folksy Friday board and the search function appears to be playing up. I am searching for fairy items and when I search for example fairy wings or fairy doors I am getting the message that there are no results for my search and I am shown all items for fairy. I have checked one of the fairy doors I wanted to include and the listing does have the tag fairy door so I am not sure why they are not showing when I use fairy door as the search criteria.
Is anyone else having this problem or is there an issue with searches @folksycontent

There seems to be an issue with the searches. Some people have mentioned it on Facebook, and I’ve just tried searching Folksy for ‘bunny heart’ as I wanted to find one of my items quickly (a search is usually quicker than wading through 800 of my listings lo!) but on hearts came up, no bunny ones.

Ha ha ha I had already spotted yours it might not be this week I do it if the search thingy is not sorted out as it will take me forever to chose things from a list of thousands x

Yes, search tags are NOT working. If I search for ‘spaniel key ring’ (which is in my title and tags) I get a message saying no results, but I’m given all the results for ‘ring’.
I’ve emailed Folksy admin today to ask them to look into it.

We’ve been updating the servers in the background and as part of that the search service was also updated. Unfortunately this didn’t reproduce the way search worked before and instead only looked for the first word typed in.
So yesterday afternoon we pushed a fix, which means that now search will return loads more items but with the most relevant ones first. Next week we’ll try to see if we can make it a little more discerning.

I have Pet Blankets in my Folksy shop. They have been there for a while now with good photos, appropriate tags and a great description. But, they don’t appear to be selling.
Out of curiosity, I typed in 'Pet Blankets’ into the Folksy search - as a customer would.
My search revealed ‘Newborn Baby Blankets’, ‘Crocheted Baby Blankets’, ‘Crochet Throw’, ‘Kids Bed Throw’ with pricing from £20 - £395!
Yes, these blankets were gorgeous but should they have been listed under a search for Pet Blankets?
