I went ahead and added the tag ‘shop early’ a few days ago and forgot about the Canva photo. Now it will take me some time to find the listings and update them again. I hope it will be ok to leave them as they are now…

@wildrosedesigns When you go to download your image, where it says “select images” you need to make sure you click on that. Use the box at the top to unselect all, and then select the specific page of your altered image. If you don’t do that then it will download the entire set of images as a zip file.

Thanks Camilla, love the templates as always! Would it be okay to add two of the circular badges to one of our listing images (stacked one below the other on the RH side as per template) if we are offering two of the ‘incentives’ (e.g. free gift wrap and a discount)? Or would you prefer we just display one badge per listing?

Many thanks :slightly_smiling_face:

Good question @Eiderglass. I think it’s fine to add two (or more badges) to a listing if you feel it looks ok.
We’ve also just added another option for “personalise your gift” and changed “eco-friendly gift” to “eco-conscious gift” … because arguably buying anything is not eco-friendly.

Just bumping this topic for everyone who is taking part in the event this weekend. As a reminder, we have created badges that you can add to your listings so shoppers can instantly see what’s special about that item.

  • The badges are here Choose the ones you want to use as your main (first) image from the following options:

– ‘shop early discount’
– ‘multi-buy offer’
– ‘can send direct to recipient’
– ‘free gift wrapping’
– ‘one of a kind’
– ‘eco-consious gift’

Please DO NOT change the colour of the circular badges. If none of these apply, just use your usual product photo.

To use these Canva templates:

  • first upload your own images to Canva
  • drag and drop your own product shot over the sample image
  • or delete the existing image and then add in your own
  • send your product shot image to the back
  • when you are happy with the graphics, download them as either jpgs or pdfs (you can download them all as a Zip file or just the one/ones you want to use)

Good thing it’s going to automatically limit to 3 items per shop as some have added the tag to loads of things.

You can choose which pages to download before hitting the Download button - took me a while to work this out but if you just choose a single page it downloads the image without its being in a zip folder.

I am a bit concerned that customers will think from the SM posts that they are not allowed to Christmas shop here on Folksy until next weekend’s special event. I did add a comment on the IG post to say I am open now and 24/7 for Christmas shopping but it appears to have mysteriously vanished so I presume I am censored. Would be interested to see if anyone else can add a comment which actually stays put. ?

Only for plus shops, that’s a bit disappointing :disappointed:

But I don’t really see what difference it should make anyway. Your shop, like mine, will be open 24/7 today and right from now up to Chrstmas.
Do people really go early xmas shopping online on a specific date ? Why ?
Best thing is just to do a couple of posts on your SM pages tagging your shop and suggesting people visit. I have

Maybe not, I had a sale very recently…

I’m buzzing because I just sold two of my “shop early” items xxx

Well done

Same here!

Your comment hasn’t been censored @JOYSofGLASS - it’s here

We have tried to make it clear in our comms and (most of) our social media posts that you can find gorgeous gifts every day on Folksy, but that this is a special shopping event. Are you worried customers will think they’re limited to only buying on certain dates?

I havn’t managed to use the canva templates or canva, but have made a couple using Adobe, hope they’re ok, I have just added shop early for Christmas on Folksy and the date.

Is there a reason Canva doesn’t work for you Debby? Can we help at all?

Hi Camilla, I dont know, I just got a bit mixed up with it and didn’t quite know how to add my photos to the templates you had created, I did try to follow the instructions. I find Adobe really easy but probably because I use it regularly.
In canva, open it up and find the shop early templates, but then how do i make my own images using your templates…I have to go out soon but will pop by this evening and try again.
