I have got quite stressed with this post as usual it always turns spiteful. My husband saw it going on last night and said
kävele pois, et tarvitse tätä stressiä elämääsi
So I am doing what he said, a wise person indeed.

I’m sorry if you feel any of my posts spiteful, I have merely posted ways to work around those who find avif a problem and to correct misinformation so that others are not mislead.
I have not read anyone else’s posts as spiteful, just people airing their views and stating what they believe to be true.
I think written text can be taken in a way the poster had not intend, as it is not the same as verbal communication where you get to see expression and tone of voice.
Bringing us back on topic…
Irrespective of the actual numbers, whether they are good or bad, GA shows that my non-direct views did indeed flatline over about a week (which is how long it would take for them to filter through the 7-day rolling total of the Folksy stats and me to notice.)
And over the last 3 days they have appeared again, so presumably @dougfolksy has successfully given something a kick. Thank you !
Thank you Helen .
Thank you from me too, Helen. Xxx
Finally found an app for the Mac to convert back to jpg.
All the online ones kept saying unsafe. Thank goodness the Mac is set to high security, never know what these programmes are.
Hello all, I’ve read all your posts about stats - has this actually been resolved by folksy, does anyone know? My stats have stayed exactly the same for 9 days, which doesn’t make much sense - if no-one is looking then they should drop, it’s like they’re stuck. Anyway, I’ve been on folksy for 5 months and have only sold one card - if I hadn’t paid for the whole year I would have left by now. I’ve spent so much time trying to get my shop right, but I’ve obviously not got it right … I don’t want to spend my life on social media so I guess folksy isn’t for me.
Mine havent been updated for a week now too. I messaged Follsy, they are aware there is a site wide problem, but their focus is prioritising the GPSR NI stuff before the 13th, so it might be a bit longer before the stats issue is resolved.
Mine have been stuck for over a week now. And sales are absolutely dire, and have been in decline for the last couple of years. I had no sales in November, and that is the 1st time I have had zero sales in the build up to Christmas, in 9 years!
Commiserations … cost of living crisis prob isn’t helping …
I’m sure that is playing a part, but other platforms doing OK!
Yes absolutely.
Still broke, from what I can see
Pity to lose the stats from the business period of the year. Feel like I have wasted my time recording them for the rest of the year now!
I had got into the habit of recording mine too! And they had rocketed while I did the Daily listing challenge in Nov, and I was interested in what they would do in Dec when only “normal” traffic, albeit hopefully with some extra for Christmas . With no sales during Dec I was even more eager to see if this was because people were looking but not buying, or not even looking ! Let’s hope they are fixed soon so we can start monitoring again from Jan. I do appreciate Folksy have been busy with other stuff though. Happy Christmas to all.
I have a website with a shop attached and it works fine for me. I get more sales there than here. I don’t see the point of paying for a website then directing it here. But if you have a free website there’s not the same problem. But I’m a believer of having as many irons in the fire as you can. But I think I’m going to have to let my Folksy Plus go next year.
Thank you, good to know that your own website works well for you, it is something I need to look at doing I just never have the time and have a long list of tech and admin stuff I need to work on. I thought a webpage linking back to Folksy might just bring in any new customers that stumble across it and I wouldn’t have to worry about a bear selling twice kind of thing, might get my son to look into the costs of a website and a page for me, thank you
