I’ve mentioned before that I sell my scrap glass for mosaic making on Ebay in 750g boxes. Makes a steady little ‘business’ and it saves me throwing precious glass into landfill when I don’t have time to use if for mosaic myself but others do.
I always include one of my business cards within the package ( as well as a little note at the bottom of my Ebay listing that they can find my stained glass on Joysofglass on Folksy if they are interested).
Today I recognized the buyer’s name on a suncatcher order and sure enough they had a box of scrap last week. Think it’s happened before as well.
So that works then

I always put a business card ready to add to my packages…but often find it left on the side after I have finished wrapping, packing and posting - d’oh!

Funny you should say that. That package was all sealed and ready to go when I spotted the card this morning…but I thought, oh well, doesn’t matter, they had a card last week with the scrap ,!

I know I’ve had follow up sales as a result of the business card that goes with every item. I pre stuff my organza bags with a card so I don’t have to do it at craft fairs or forget to do it with online orders. And I still have yours Joy from when we did some swapping.

I just delivered an order for 60 (***!!!***) heart ring dishes. All differently coloured and/or decorated and each one in an organza bag and in each bag a Moo mini card.
Card included of course because, after all, I did get the sale as a result of the customer picking up my card at a local market a after seeing one of my dishes.
Customer very happy. Me too
