Hello all,
Very new to Folksy and awaiting my first sale, I just wanted some help and guidance really. I handmade cards I wanted to make I am doing everything right. On my listings I explain at the bottom about the small parts that are included on my cards are not suitable for babies and young children. Also when I post out the item I put it in a plastic sleeve with a warning label about suffocation regarding the bag and again about the card having small parts and not suitable for babies or young children.
my question is, is this enough or is there anything else I should do?
as cards are not usually given actually to children, I wouldn’t worry too much about small parts on your cards. I mostly just paint my cards now , but in the past when I made cards and the trading standards office came round, there were no issues with any of the cards that I was selling. I think the same applies to the polybags…( there are no warnings on these in shops) and they would be far too small to go over a child’s head.
I would stop worrying and just make and sell…
There might be someone else with input but in all the many years I have been making and selling I have never had any problems with Trading standards officers…x
Thank you,
I think I was just in worrying mode, and thank you for putting my mind at ease. Your work is amazing x
I don’t put a warning on the bag but if any of my cards have small plastic/metal embellishments/charms I do add a warning to my listing
Thank you Dee, I do the same thing I just wanted to ensure I was doing the right thing.
Thanks again
Hannah
