I record the GBBO so that I can watch it back on fast forward to find out which flavour pairings work and how to do the technicals. (I now know the difference between swiss and french merague but not how to spell the afore mentioned eggwhite and sugar creation as that doesn’t look right) Cuts the program down to about 10 minutes.
Sorry to change the subject, but just wanted to share…cuppa tea and the smell of freshly mown grass, totally summer!

Ooh yes Suzzie! My old house had a huge lawn and I used to spend half my life looking after it. My new house has no lawn at all, just flowerbeds, tubs and paving. It means I have a lot more crafting time, but I do miss that smell.
Suzzie @thistledownandHOPE - you could always come for a gardening holiday!
Enjoying the sunshine here, have just finished laying out a new scarf and now gearing myself up for a dog walk before felting it.
No 1 daughter coming home this afternoon for the weekend so looking forward to that.
Morning all! Much planned for today?
I’m off to the hairdressers at 9- I’ve got pretty bad roots at the min so looking forward to fixing that!
Then going to view the teeny hobbit house at some point today. (We’ve now been given the option of a third house- slightly further away from where we are now but much bigger than all of them!) so I’m not doing well here. Hahaha
Then I need to get my current Linocut printed and start carving the next. I’m doing something a little different. 4 North Sea birds that we get on the Farne Islands sort of Pop art style in a way- that’s the best way I can think to describe it!
Go for the house your heart wants Susannah
When I first saw the one I’m in now I just fell in love with it although it’s miles from anywhere, has more garden than we can really look after, no storage space and is a drafty nightmare to heat in winter. But we have never been happier because it feels right, as though we’re meant to be here
Today I have embroidered children’s towels planned. I a bit nervous as I’ve never done heavy bath towels before, but have had some success with hand towels so with any luck they should be ok
But first I need to get a load of washing on whilst the sun is out and I have a mountain of ironing to tackle

Hi all. I’ve been awake since 4am - couldn’t get back to sleep so got up and did my paperwork at 5:30.
Busy day at work today and then daughter has ordered a lentil roast with all the roast dinner trimmings for dinner (she doesn’t eat proper food at Uni!).
Must dash.
I’m at work all day today…roll on 5 o’clock!
Enjoy your day everyone…

Morning all!
I have a crafting day today: hopefully my new supplies will turn up. I have a ton of stuff to photograph
and I need to rework the SEO on my other shop
Actually, looking at it, that’s my 2 least favourite shop things. Hmmmm.
Today is glorious here in sunny Suffolk, I managed to cut the grass yesterday evening so the garden looks loved and lovely. I want to rephotograph my children’s coat hangers, the sunlight will be a refreshing change to the gloom. I really want to dig over another ‘finished’ bed on the Lottie, as I feel a little exercise in the sun will do me the world of good.
But it is also the day before the village fete, an enormous affair here, last year we raised over £12000!!! And I am meant to be baking.
As a woman I know I can juggle all I have to do and still finish the sheep hottie for stock…i may not be on my feet by the time everyone wants feeding, but that is what the chippy is for!

Rhiannon Rose @RhiannonRoseJewellery best start with a coffee…x
Two days to my next craft fair, so today I’ll be doing finishing touches to new stock and attaching price tags.
Lol, Suzzie @thistledownandHOPE, I’m not sure a coffee will be enough! But I have noticed that it’s lovely weather, and there’s a massive bramble growing over the shed roof, so I may have to deal with that first!
Back home for lunch - this afternoon can’t go quick enough for me
Roll on bank holiday weekend.
Nooo! The sooner the bank hol weekend gets here the sooner I go back to school! (Or work as I should probably call it!)
OK - finished work for the day, time can now stop for as long as you like Susannah @curiousseagull
Hahaha thanks @Rozcraftz
Hope you enjoy your bank holiday weekend!!
And for anyone interested- saw the hobbit house today! It’s amazing!!! We totally love it! It’s been done out so well and cleverly! Living room windows look out over the sea and the 2 piers at the end of the river Tyne, and the bedroom and roof terrace looks out over a gorgeous park with an amazing monument to Lord Collingwood (he stands proudly at the top) and over the river. So inspiration wise- I think it’s pretty much set!
It felt like a cross between a tree house, being on holiday and it also sort of reminded me of the Famous Five and my childhood…so, yeah. Pretty lovely!
And strangely despite it being tiny (in fact the owner is looking into whether it may be the smallest detached house in the UK!) it also feels like a great house for entertaining.
so looks like we may have found our new home for at least a year- quite possibly longer!
Love at first sight eh! I am really pleased for you.

SATURDAY morning, well I thought I’d just pop in and say hello before our village fete, my whole kitchen is full of jam, marmalade, fruit cake, meringue, coffee and walnut…the ladies of the village have surpassed themselves this year.
Yesterday I managed to get it all done, but reading between the threads, autumn is creeping up on Folksy, so I am going to knit a new winter themed coat hanger, all planned in my head, just not on paper and wool, but that will be tomorrow now,
First up is get the cake stall gazebo up, well after I have drunk my tea

Morning all,
I should feel productive: I’ve been to the gym, stuck some washing out, put the sheets in to wash and have a bunch of lovely cabochons to weave bezels for. So why am I procrastinating on the forums? I even have items photographed and ready to list. Just gotta get going I guess.
