I received a welcome to Folksy email on Thursday 12th. Was keeping an eye on the forums to see if anyone else was talking about this but cannot find anything even when I search.

The email started…Welcome to selling on Folksy! Here’s some tips to get you started.

I’ve been selling on here for a few years and was a little surprised to get this and also slightly concerned - wondering if it is possible that someone has used my email address to register a shop . Has anyone else had this or is it just me?

Thanks for replying Lily - I was having a Patsy Paranoia moment :wink: Now I’m not so worried :slight_smile: Maybe its something got to do with the Free Listings Offer?

Yes, I received one too and I have been on here for three years. Maybe now I’ll be noticed and get into one of the many Gift Guides!!!

Yes, I got one for each of my shops after I had logged out and back in to them to do admin on each of them - I assumed it was just a glitch :slight_smile:

Ooh err, that’s a bit strange. Sorry about that. I’ll look into how that’s happened. Sounds like those gremlins are misbehaving again.

Really sorry - this was an oversight by me!

When we ran the free listing weekend we sent emails to lots of different groups of sellers (amazing response by the way!)

Importing the different groups of sellers into our ‘master list’ triggered the welcome email. It’s my fault as I should have double checked all of the automated messages.

Sorry for the confusion.

PS - it is a lovely email so hopefully people who got it weren’t too upset!

No problem. As soon as I heard others had received it I didn’t mind :slight_smile: Thought it was something to do with the Free Listings.
