šŸ‘‹ Welcome to the Folksy Forums (Read Me)! Introduce yourself here :)

Hello,
Brand new crafter here…
After spending years looking for my thing, I’ve finally discovered beads, I like to use hemp or cotton, for most makes, and wood, glass or acrylic for beads.
I also use button cos I love the way they look.
I’ve never done this before, I’m completely adrift on the business side of things and I’m going to look at Shop Talk right now! <3 x

Hello, I’m very new to selling my items online but I’ve always made my own items for personal use. I create my own print designs and use them on handcrafted cushions, I also make various unique pieces of jewellery. It has always been a keen interest of mine to share my items with other people and I can’t wait to make some sales and hear feedback from those who wear my items or have them in their homes!

My shop can be found at https://folksy.com/shops/PrintedDesigns

I look forward to hearing from you with any advice or feedback even if you do not make a purchase

Hello. I am Fiona Taylor and I produce hand dyed yarns and hand knitted and crochet accessories. I always seem to have lots of things on the go so what I sell can be somewhat eclectic! I have just started designing knitting patterns to show off my yarns and I will upload these as they are available. There doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day to do everything I want but I love creating and always have so it’s great to be working at what I love doing.

Hi,

My name is Niki, I am married and a mum to 2 little girls ages 2 & 4 and also run my Niknaks Designs full time. I make Lampwork Beads, Jewellery, Fabric items and cards and have recently started bobbin lace as well. As you can see I love anything crafty and have tried most types of craft as I am very lucky that I come from a crafting family.

I have had a shop for some time but only recently started to re-stock it now that big is at school and little has started pre-school every morning. I look forward to reading through the forums and getting to know some like minded people.

Thank you for reading
Niki

Hi everyone

Silva here. Not new to Folksy really, but new to the forum and I’m in the process of moving my stock to Folksy from another craft-selling site. I’m hoping that a less American-centric atmosphere will be a positive experience.

I’ve been knitting for as long as I’ve been writing, and spinning for a couple of years now with lots of other crafts in between. Now venturing into writing my own patterns and learning how to build websites.

Hello all,

I’m Jane from Groovy Pumpkin and I make unique, hand-illustrated pieces of wearable art, made from shrink-plastic - yay!

All items are for sale in my shop, and are a great way to create a customised gift for those with unusual names as I am able to personalise any name.

Each piece is hand-drawn with permanent pen and coloured pencils on different coloured shrink plastic, then shrunk using a heat tool, and assembled into brooches, earrings (with surgical steel posts and backs), necklaces and rings. Some items have glitter embedded in the glaze coating, which adds extra dimension and fun!

So, that about covers it! I hope to chat with lots of you over the coming months

Take care, Jane xx

Hi there, I’m Danielle and I am back after a long break with a new collection of 2" badges, I’m hoping this time I will get on better with this site, I had a lot of trouble last time!!

Hi I’m Janet
I have had a folksy shop for a while but haven’t really listed many things and I haven’t joined in with the forums because I didn’t really know how it all works. time is an issue too I would rather be making than blogging.
I love to craft… sewing , beading, pottery, knitting…paper crafts… you name it I try it and love to share what I do in the hope that someone will love what I make enough to buy it.
I am looking to try and increase my viewing figures and hopefully sales so I can carry on making but again I don’t know how to … so please help.
thanks … janet aka fairythoughts

Hi. I am delighted to join the Folksy Forums and whilst my website is up and running, I am new to Folksy so just starting to list items! My collection is ā€œMusic Jewelleryā€ā€¦As a professional musician for more years than I care to mention, I have always had a passion for anything with a musical twist and this led to the birth of ā€œMusic Jewellery Onlineā€. I started collecting pieces whilst based in Japan many years ago and this passion just grew and grew…

I am working overseas right now but actually sponsoring the ā€œMungo Jerryā€ concert in Southampton on 7 November where we are raising funds for the children’s charity in Southampton. My partner is the bass guitarist with the band so it looks like being one action packed evening! I am donating pieces of ā€œmusical jewelleryā€ as prizes. My website has over 400 items so think it will take me some time to get these listed with Folksy but I have made a start!!!

I am delighted to be part of the ā€œFolksy Teamā€ā€¦chrissie c xx

Hi Everyone,

I am delighted to say that I have just opened my store again! I had one ages ago, but found it difficult keeping up with everything, juggling the kids etc so I let it slide off the radar:( However I am now looking forward to throwing myself into it once again with renewed vigor.

I create enamel and resin jewellery sometimes using copper and sometimes using resin - I love them both as mediums as they have limitless options.
I look forward to ā€˜meeting’ you all virtually and perusing some of your stores…any input from you will be gratefully received!

Hi
I am new to Folksy and have just opened my shop over a week ago. My shop is Ocean Arts North Devon and my work is inspired by the beautiful North Devon coastline where I live. I use reclaimed wood, recycyled wood and materials and driftwood in most of my work. Here is an example of my work below one of my best sellers hand made wood surfboard wall clock with fin, waxed and finished with a design in pyrography by hand which is burnt into the wood, below is the Union Jack but I offer other designs and custom designs. Thanks Mark
