What I'm I doing wrong?

I’m to be struggling to get any sales and even views. I regularly make sales on Etsy with my book sleeves but no even sold 1 on here. Can anyone please help.

Hi, Folksy is so much smaller than E, so you really have to work hard to get your products seen. I love all things Japanese (as my shop name suggests!) and I spend an awful lot of time fiddling around on Folksy, but confess I have never come across your shop before. So, just one little thing I would suggest is to join in on the forums, use the Theme of the Day, maybe join the Daily Listing Challenge thread, etc. Also, you may find it a good idea to introduce more variety in your shop. I love Japanese fabric, but dont need a book sleeve, that may be the case for many potential viewers/buyers

Just some thoughts.

Wishing you every success

Visibility is the key. I’m regularly on Folksy and I’ve never seen your shop before. Your items and the fabrics used are beautiful, although as mentioned above I suppose a book sleeve is quite a niche item, so it might not come up in people’s searches very often.

Do you take note of the “theme of the day” and tag your products with the specific word if the theme fits your items?

Getting your shop known amongst other Folksy shop owners on the forum is a good starting point, after that it’s using social media to direct people to your shop.

Good luck!

I’ve had a look at your lovely shop Paul and now I have fabric envy! They are all absolutely gorgeous. But I agree with Liz about introducing different products alongside your book sleeves, as having just one product is not giving you enough visibility. I see you have sold some scarves here, again absolutely gorgeous, I’d think about adding some more of those. Or sleeves in different sizes, to hold things like mobile 'phones or glasses.

If you use Facebook or IG, have working links on your Folksy shop front.

Best of luck here, I hope you do very well xxx

When did you join. Your profile date here on the forum is the 1st May ? If so that is really not very long at all ?
If you have been here longer then I havent seen you before. Maybe try other SM than just X . Your book covers are lovely.

Thank you so much, I will be adding more soon

They are beautiful.

Tomorrows Theme if the Day, I see, is ‘floral’ which would be suitable for several of your beautiful items. By adding that tag, they will get a front page slot randomly throughout the day, which will help get your shop known.

Hi Paul, how about making some bookmarks to match the book pouches. A good way of using up smaller strips of that lovely material. You could include with the book pouches or list separately.:slightly_smiling_face:

The bags came up on the front page of Folksy when I looked this morning, so that should help your views. They look great!

Unfortunately I don’t like fabric bookmarks

You can move your listings about on your page. Use Shopkeeping from your dashboard.
