I’m seeing posts in my IG feed with people complaining about a new look to the feed - is anyone else seeing this, what does it look like?
I’ve noticed this week that my interactions have dropped through the floor - I’m starting to wonder if it’s something to do with changes they’ve made. Anyone else noticed that?
I’m also having trouble using it on desktop - can’t click on comments to reply, etc. It just all feels very clunky and like it’s not running quite right
I only just noticed a few posts as well, mine seems to be the same still but it looks like it’s changing gradually. Haven’t got a clue about stats, as I haven’t been as active anyway. As always since the start of fb when I can remember, we are used to something, they change it, we moan, we get used to it, they change it, and the circle never ends…
Absolutely - it’s like they just can’t stop themselves tinkering (usually for no good reason I can see!)
I use Instagram a lot but it has definitely changed. I was told that now it is not so much about the #hashtags but about keywords! Still trying to figure it out. Also, they seem to prioritise sponsored ads over contents you would be interested in…
Not noticed any difference on my feed over the last day or two, but there was an announcement about ‘bringing IG to Ipad’ recently.
Last week I had problems with comments - I couldn’t always see the comments on my own posts, (though I could see the number of comments!) so couldn’t reply to people easily ( I am on an MacBook) but it seems to have sorted itself now.
I was also annoyed that my feed seemed to be filled with posts from people I rarely interacted with rather than all my favourite accounts, but that seems to have settled down now too.
The joys of Social Media!
I hate that they prioritise ads over content, they all do it and it’s really irritating. I have to scroll and scroll sometimes just to get something ‘real’.
I’m still really irritated about the whole hashtag thing - seems so counter productive! I occasionally still use them, but that’s only because I don’t want to keyword stuff and want my writing to be true to me and flow. Sometimes it’s hard work not to make posts read like:
They’re obviously up to something or other - I wish they could just get an old Morris Minor and tinker on that over the weekends instead!

I have only been on Instagram since the spring so not sure completely how it works but I have totally dropped # apart from folksy Friday posts and my views have massively gone up!
Haven’t noticed a lot of change with the feed but fed up with some of the rubbish I see on there!

Instagram on my iPad has a completely new look and I dont like it. My home page now has nothing but reels. I have to tap the little person ( now down the side of my page) to see ant posts from anyone I follow. It’s the old format on my phone so looks like I’m going to have to use that in future.

But we can’t really complain if they prioritise paid posts
It is after all a completely free service .
Mines the same, I don’t use it on the iPad anymore just use my phone but no doubt that will change soon enough, If I wanted to see just video I’d download tic tok, I’ve also noticed my content may as well have dropped off a cliff since the change too. Hey ho, I think if its a case of keep up or go home, I shall choose to go home…..

Absolutely - FB is terrible like this also. Some days you go on and it’s almost all ads. It’s a far cry from how it started off to interact with your friends. It’s more like ad book now than Facebook
I managed to get insta to stop showing me suggested content until I’ve seen all posts from people I follow from the last 3 days. I still get ads but my feed is much better. I was getting a banner under the suggested content which said interested/ not interested and I clicked on the not interested.
