Hi, I’ve just listed my items today and just want to clarify that when someone places an order will I have to log in to know that the order has been placed or will I receive an email that it has been placed - I do remember reading that when the payment had gone through via PayPal they will send an email but if it has been paid for by card will there also be an email notification - and will there be an email just confirming that an order has been placed. Also I just have my ordinary PayPal account linked to my current account - is this OK? Thanks, Noelle

If you want to know how things work then i always find the best thing is to try it for yourself. You Can buy your own things so you could set a test listing up as cheap as possible, say £1.01 and zero postage and buy it. That way you will see exactly what happens as both seller and buyer (and yes an email is sent via the system to both buyer and seller).
A long time since i had to do this as i have been here since Adam and Eve but I found it a very useful exercise.
