Thanks Hazel the painting is 4 x 6 inches, mounted it is 6 x 8 inches.
well done Pamā¦sorted !! (and lovely work of course)
Stephie, that is very pretty, love the coloursā¦
I have been painting some more cartoon cards to put in my shopā¦I might as well make the most of the PLUS account !!..I want to fully stock the shop if I can
Back after the painting programmeā¦donāt forget it
Margaretā¦how did the painting lesson go?
Thatās a nice size Stephie. I thought it was bigger. Donāt know why ? But itās really lovely
Waving Brenda ⦠Iām not watching the painting challenge. Gave up on it after the first two - not a big fan of these type of competitive / critic tv shows ⦠Other than the bake off of course - paul and mary are such fun
Iāll definitely be watching the Big Painting Challenge, although probably tomorrow on catch-up as I like to be able to pause and take breaks from the negativity of the judges. I think all the contestants are super talented.
Margaret @Louisa15 how was your workshop yesterday? Hope all is well and your internet is behaving itself again.
Sorry all, I was very tired after yesterdayās workshop and have been busy somehow all day. The tutor, Rachel McNaughton was excellent, but she didnāt seem keen on my love for vibrant colour. Still, this is what I painted:
She said the flowers in the background looked more like lupins than delphiniums, so I told her it was a mixed border
The workshop itself was very friendly and fun, but for some reason I felt exhausted afterwards, though I did have a 26 mile motorway journey each way to get there which added to the fatigue.
Well done Pam for getting your pictures to show here and Stephie I LOVE those bluebells
I wonāt give away who left the painting challenge but the judges seemed to be a lot kinder this weekā¦they would destroy me with their criticisms,ā¦lol
I painted another cartoon greetings card this afternoon because I want to get the choice of a few in my shopā¦so here it isā¦(NOT a self portrait I hasten to addā¦lol)
.
crossed posts Margaretā¦that is stunningā¦gosh I sometimes wish these teachers thought before they spokeā¦I think your painting is beautifulā¦
Gorgeous mixed border Margaret. Criticism is useless unless it comes with advice on how to improve it - I think your reply was fabulous, well done you
Brenda that belly dancer is wonderful, I love the bling! Youāve done really well to get the gold to shine in your photo.
It is wonderful painting Margaret
Thanks all!
I do both Stephanie. I prefer to just slosh the paint on and then use gouache but i do use masking fluid on some areas.
Good morning waving hi to everyone, beautiful painting Margaret, I love the colours too :). Thatās fab Brenda, I had a go at belly dancing once upon a time, great fun but thankfully Iāve no pictures lol!
Good Morning All
Nice blue skies here so Iāve been taking photos early and now listed some of my new paintings ā¦
Pretty Blue Hydrangea ā¦
I am not backing my pieces as much now makes them more affordable for the buyer, but I am happy to supply them in a mount or backed for an additional cost on request ā¦
Lovely hydrangea Hazel, much softer colours than Iām used to from you but it looks beautiful!
Thanks Margaret ⦠you know me I like to try new things
That said I also listed this one today too ⦠other end of the spectrum lol
Morning allā¦
Max, shame you have no belly dancing pictures. ā¦wavingā¦
waving Margaret, Pam and Hazel tooā¦
Lovely vivid flowers Hazelā¦it is a shame that encaustics make such a mess on the back of the card but I agree, mounting them adds to the expense and weight when you post them
Waving Stephieā¦
Morning to anyone else I have missed.
Iāll be back later with more listingsā¦Iāll try not to share too manyā¦could get boringā¦
listing number 1 (for today)
