ooh im jealous, it’s nice and big , and you have a lovely view
well you can’t beat that!
I have a craft flat…
I had to buy my own place to store everything. So much stuff… I’ve still got the cardmaking in storage. Urgh!
My living room is my craft room. There’s one space on the sofa for me.
And the kitchen is for caking and jamming.
There’s no organised at the moment, just chaos.
Lovely workspaces.
I can understand that @bojanglies, craft equipment and supplies have a away of taking up any available space.
My studio space is basic and functional : table for sewing and ironing, table by the window for the main work, two other small tables, storage units, shelf units, a sofa which is handy for when friends pop round for a cuppa but I also find it useful for placing the t-shirts flat for a few minutes whilst they dry when I am heat fixing the paint. I have a clothes rail for the things I am working on and the finished stuff is kept in a wardrobe. All the dye work is done in small trugs and buckets in the garden. I listen to radio 4 whilst I am working.

I haven’t got a craft room, All my craft making is done on my desk. My desk is also my bedside table.

Love hearing and seeing where you all work! I have sort of taken over the corner of the spare room…and gradually most of the cupboard. And the bed. And the floor!

Wowwee! I would love to have an outside space away from the house, they all look so lovely!
I have just moved into my first home and the spare bedroom has become my little crafting area, nothing much I know but I am so happy with it

I’m very envious of those with their own space! I suggested a shed to my hubby for me to work in and he wasn’t keen
I have converted our ‘spare’ bedroom, It’s great not to have to pack the sewing machine away every time you use it. Just wish the room was a little bigger. May have to move into the son’s bedroom when he leaves home later this month.
Thanks for the plug, daughter

How do you do ‘smiley wink’ ?
We had an extension built, so I do have my own craft room.

My official workspace is in the small spare room…but I also occasionally work in the garage, the living room, the kitchen…and the guest room and loft are used for storage…it tends to spread itself around a bit
I am very lucky to have a spare room that I can use as a craft room. It’s not as organised-looking as some of the ones pictured above and I wish my desk space was a bit bigger; it doesn’t take much for it to become cluttered and that seems to affect my creativity. I feel much better after a good tidy-up!
Mine wasn’t keen either, but I suggested it about a million times
When I’m making flowers then the corner of the sofa is space enough
But that’s not all I do, so… I’ve had various spaces in the house - first in the loft, up a ladder so not ideal, but my own space. But as the kids got older it just seemed that more and more stuff needed to be stored up there and there was less and less space for me… so I moved in to half of the spare bedroom. Then I started working with glass so you can imagine the intensive cleaning up that was needed every time my mum came to stay!
But this year I have been lucky enough to get my own shed at the bottom of the garden
With a lovely big sink and space for my kiln (which was in the the garage before, a long way from the spare bedroom)
Your workshop looks really intriguing Deborah, being nosey I’m wondering what the 2 things suspended from the ceiling are?
I use my loft for creating, so make tons of mess with fabrics, linings, buttons and notions, then have a mad clean up every so often. Keeps all my mess away from our living space…keeps everyone happy!
This is where I do most of my crafting and taking photo’s. I use a old clothes horse to hang my white back sheet on for taking photos.
If you look carefully you’ll see it’s not plastered as yet.
Oh yes and that crochet bag really should be in my shop just not got around to taking photo’s yet.
Some times I use the side garden to take photo’s and the hedge across the close for hanging Christmas decoration to in order to take photo’s.
I am one of the lucky ones who has a work room for all my sewing, I couldn’t do without it
pity it won’t let me add a photo
We decided to convert part of the garage into some extra living space so now it’s a home office/craft room/sitting room. We have a little wardrobe for stock and packaging, drawers for fabric and cube shelves for wool and other bits and bobs. I love it in there, it’s so peaceful and really handy to have.
Before and after:
Daisy and Beth love it in there too, they queue up to go in every morning.
