Sorry to hear that Stephie
Sorry to hear your sad news, Stephie.
love that one Brenda, very nice.
Morning all, that’s lovely Brenda so much detail, very pretty indeed.
Well I had a bit of a disaster with my journal cover last night. I read about ‘ageing’ it by covering it with a layer of acrylic and then wiping it off to leave some paint in cracks and creases for a lovely aged look. I started with well with white first and scraped the paint off still looking good in a chalky kind of way, left it dry properly got the deep blue ink out to add a few highlights and splat!!! I had loosened the lid ready, put paper around and then promptly forgot I had loosened the lid, picked the pot up by the lid and dropped the pot smack on the middle of the page deep blue ink soaked into everything! I tried in vain to rescue it, but it was acrylic ink and it soaked in pretty quickly and dyed the whole thing dark blue as well as my nails and hands. Absolutely gutted an hour of peeling off the entire cover and starting again and I still have dark blue dye on my nails I just can’t get it off ! ah well that gives me something to do this weekend
working in a more local office today so I should be home early with no NATO Summit stress!
That is lovely Max … hope you have a better day
I’ve just been adding a section to my shop here for my Tree paintings, I am hoping to show the new exhibit pieces later today depending on when Adrian has time to do the photos of those ones, I have taken some pictures of the smaller ones I am going to list here …
shhhhhush… don’t tell anyone … but I’ve listed a couple of ACEO already and will list some postcard size ones too shortly but they won’t get promoted until the exhibit page goes live
Sorry to hear about your disaster last night Max, so frustrating!
Anyway, I couldn’t resist your sale sunflowers, I love collecting sunflowers and I’ve admired these ever since you first listed them and have been trying to resist ever since!
I love your trees Hazel, I’ve been to have a look at them, the multi coloured one is my favourite.
Ooh thank you Margaret, I’m popping to the local art shop lunch time can’t wait to see what new goodies they have,
Looking forward to the exhibit Hazel
Ah Max, I guess we should be thankful your clothes didn’t end up a deep blue too! If I’m setting out to work in acrylic or oil I always wear old clothes, but I’ve had a few near misses with the brusho - for some reason I think it’ll be ok as it’s watercolour, but boy can it stain. You have my sympathy.
Well done Margaret on snapping up that bargain, it’s a lovely painting. I seem to recall you have a sunflower room and a poppy room?
Good luck with your exhibit Hazel.
Thanks for all your good wishes on the bunny front yesterday. I’ve only had one tearful moment so far today so that’s good. It was actually a relief to come down to the kitchen this morning (his room) and to not see him suffering.
Instead I have budgie worries - her feathers above her nose don’t look right, although she’s perfectly chirpy and happy in herself.
This is my listing, acrylic backed onto mountboard
lovely tree of life collection Hazel, good luck with the online exhibition.
Stephie, I’m sure the budgie will be fine if she’s OK in herself. Could you be a little over anxious about her having just lost your other pet? Hope everything goes well with the budgie. Love that acrylic, the colours are fab. Well remembered, I do indeed have a poppy room and a sunflower room. That’s one of the reasons I succumbed to the temptation!
Apparently it’s indicative of respiratory problems. I’ve just taken out a new branch that I got for her from Pets at Home 2 days ago and found mould on it - I’m furious with them and also with myself for not checking it out properly. Hope she recovers OK, can’t lose 2 pets in one week!
Oh I do hope she’s OK Stephie!
Hope budgie is OK Stephie - great mini from you today very dramatic
Thank you for the kind words on the exhibit launch - this collection was the most fun to paint and a tree painting is on it’s way south as we speak … Not one of the collection but another one in a smaller size I have a couple to add to folksy but the time is flying by today …
wow, some fab work on here today…
shame about the disaster Max…hope you don’t stay blue for too long…lol
Just love those sunflowers…amazing work.
Waving Margaret
Hugs for the Budgie Stephie…love the sunset acrylic
Hazel, great new trees.
My listing for today…
.
wow that’s pretty Brenda!
How’s the budgie doing Stephie?
She still seems to be herself thanks Margaret - she’s having her midday nap at the moment (it’s a long time between dawn and lights out) so I’ll see how she is after that.
Lovely flower Brenda. I’ve just been admiring the neighbour’s roses, might have to pop back out with my paints later
Quick budgie update - she’s been singing all afternoon and her nostrils are clear and clean again. What a relief! Her feathers are still stained but I think she’s on the mend.
Excellent news! Hopefully she’ll soon be right as rain again!
Evening all, glad to hear the budgie is doing joys Stephie.
Wow Brenda that is gorgeous.
I have managed to restart my cover got two layers on now, so far so good, will post a pic at the weekend
