Morning all. That tree looks great framed Hazel.
I’m determined to get my Frilly Tulips finished this weekend. This is the one I’ve been doing for weeks! I’m fed up of it being half done and want to move onto something else.
Hello,
just listed today, a pen and ink illustration, Face in the Leaves, inspired by a little story I’m writing called “The Memory Tree”.
xxAlexi
Hi Alexi, welcome to the thread, that’s very pretty. I love the idea of the face in the leaves.
welcome Alexi…beautiful work.
Waving Margaret,
Max…hope the Nato meeting didn’t cause you too many traffic problems.
Great Tree Hazel, looks good framed.
Stephie…sooooo glad the budgie is back on form.
More flowers today.
.
Big welcome Alexi, your illustration is gorgeous and I love the quote too.
Pretty flowers Brenda.
Waving everyone else, I’m commenting from my phone so apologies if I’ve missed anything.
Art club started again this morning so I’ve been very busy chatting and taking subs (I’m the treasurer) and drinking tea and not doing very much art at all ^^ The first week back is always a write off, we have too much catching up to do.
We have an American student coming to stay tomorrow so it will be all go go go for a few days. I’m looking forward to it, I always enjoy hosting foreign students.
Lovely flowers Brenda.
Enjoy your American student Stephie.
We’ve had some excitement here, the fire alarms went off in the next office block attached to ours, and the staff were all evacuated for an hour. Two fire engines came but we were still left in our block wondering what was happening! It turned out to be an electrical fault, so not a real fire, just as well really!
Evening all, ooh exciting Margaret! Have a lovely time playing host Stephie, I’m sure they will enjoy their visit.
Loving this new looser style Brenda very effective.
I thought I had posted this morning to say I enjoyed your exhibit Hazel, lovely quote too.
Waving hi Alexi and welcome
Just finished another element and pleased with progress so far. It’s 12x12 so quite large, just finished the butterfly illustration
Thanks Max yes just a thought that came to me while I was painting - I text it to my niece and she thought it was just right for the tree / moment and so the collection was inspired … I have been sharing it all over the web and it’s really had a lots of views and comments it’s great it’s been so well recieved
Hope you all have a lovely weekend - I’m out doing errands today but will pop back later to see what’s going on
Hazel
morning all, finished the cover no more disasters, so tomorrow I’ll be adding the first page of what I have done on my list so far in August
Hi Brenda, I’ve had a couple of months off so didn’t see the threads but so glad things are improving, that is good news
Love your new journal cover Max, it’s very pretty. Will you be showing us your pages as you go? I’d love to follow your journey with you.
Waving Fatema, nice to see you back
Here’s one of the neighbour’s rose buds

Morning Hazel…My family tree is full of nuts.
Waving Margaret.
I have been painting some autumn leaves…I was looking through my Jean Haines books and that gave me some inspiration…
Love the journal cover Max, very pretty.
Lovely rose bud Stephie, my roses are doing very well at the moment too, but no time to paint them sadly.
Look forward to seeing your autumn leaves paintings Brenda.
I’ve been to Chester again. Walked round the walks twice to clock up over 12,000 steps on my pedometer
Hi everyone!
Your walking certainly seems to be going well, Margaret!
Looking forward to seeing the autumn leaves too, Brenda!
Super work on here as always and I think the 50 things in your 50th year journal will be such a precious memento, Max.
Waving to all!
morning, we’ll be out and about today, not that I feel like it much, I think I may need to pay a visit to the Dr tomorrow this pain in my side is not getting much better :(.
I did though manage to finish my page for August in my journal :), I blogged about what I have done so far and pics of my journal

Morning! It’s quiet in here today. Our student has arrived (an extra day late due to visa issues) so I’ll be busy most of the day. Off to read Max’s blog while I have a moment!
Here’s my second rose
Edit: fab blog Max, I’m going to enjoy following this journey of yours. I think I left a comment but it’s not appeared - maybe needs you approval or something?
Morning, all!
I hope you feel better soon, Max, and manage to enjoy your day out.
Glad your student has finally arrived, Stephie! Super roses!
Here’s an Autumnal scene I listed yesterday…
afternoon all…lovely work from everyone
Max, hope you fell better soon…could just be from the stress that you have been under lately…hope it is nothing…
Be back later with a listing if I have time…
Afternoon all. Fab rose Stephie
