Such a helpful blog post @sophiamoreno , thank you. I just joined Tiktok this week and it’s been a lot of fun - it’s very quick, which i like, although not as engaging as Instagram. I’m @sarahandthewolf on there - I’ll see you all over there!

Make sure your video quality is good.

Use hashtags and put them in the first comment, not in the title or description

Add a link to your website in the first comment, not in the title or description of your video

Use music from other people’s videos (make sure it’s not copyrighted)
-
Repost other people’s videos, but only if they’re related to what you’re selling and you want to share them with your followers as well!
You can use these tips to increase your service sales.

Hello! I’m starting to have a go a bit more in Tik tok now my handle is the same as my instagram @bowerbirdjewellery_uk - I’ve noticed recently that on my business account that the music choice s now very limited!! What account does everyone else have? Personal or business?

I have business (not that I’ve done much with it) I follow a business who was using her account as personal so was using all the music but as her business took off tiktok automatically changed her account to a business one and all the music was stripped so now she has a load of videos with no music.

Thank. you for the blog post @sophiamoreno, I’ve just followed your tips and joined TikTok but I have no clue what I’m doing! I’ve managed to add a couple of reels?? but I then shared them onto instagram, which having read this thread I probably shouldn’t have shared directly? How would I used the same content but not share from TikTok? Sorry if this is something that’s super easy, my daughter usually does all this but she’s away travelling so I’m on my own!
I’ve realised as well that I’m going to have to take two lots of product pictures, some square for instagram posts and some rectangle for stories and reels as the ones I’ve posted don’t look the best.
Also, I’m struggling to find people to add. I’ve tried to search for people in the thread above but it just brings up hundreds with similar names! 
I can’t copy the link to my page as it says something about embedded tags not working?? but i’m @marklawlessdesigns if anyone wanted to have a look and give me some tips! 
Interesting thread, not sure if it’s for me as I’m pretty useless and reels and video but never say never.
Seems like it would be worth securing my name though, good tip @kerrylouisearts

After a few months of absence, I started to play with TikTok posts again. It’s a bit of a hit-and-miss at the moment, I am slowly starting to show my face and record my voice. I am still tasting the water with the latter as I am very self-conscious about my accent. I have no problem with it in my day-to-day profession as an interpreter, but not when posting online.
