OK ladies…some information. I have always bought my aceo sleeves from the auction site and I am sure it is ok to put this on here as Folksy peeps don’t sell them. I have always used chaos cards online and they are now not selling these on the bay…However, I have contacted them and you can get them from their website…They are much cheaper on there…I ordered 500 and that worked out at 60p per 100 which is brilliant… Even with P&P the total was only £5.16
Any other sellers I found online wanted £1 per 100 plus £1 per 100 P&P…so £2 per 100 total.
This website is only 75p per 100.
worth making a note of the link for future reference.

Quiet today - hope you’ve all been busy painting! Sadly my paints haven’t been seen today, but I have been planning. I should have been doing my tax return too but, well, you know…
Hope everyone is having a good day what every you have been doing.
Lovely colourful work.
I started this a month ago but finished it today, it is an Aceo but on mount board 1 mm thick and it will fit into a sleeve. I’ve tilted it slightly to catch the sheen of the gold acrylic
thank you ladies, it’s great when you get into the swing of things, currently I am at a “thinking bubble stage” if anyone understands me , lol, when you have lots of ideas of things you want to paint but not sure which to start with, so I’ll probably do nothing for days and then inundate you with lots! I find I go through phases with painting and art work, sometimes it just flows so easily and other times I want to paint but just not happy with anything I paint, I usually bin it, I know I shouldn’t but I am getting better like the one above I left it and then came back to it
Fatema, never bin anything…if the worst comes to the worst, then paint over it…but usually if you leave something, it can be rescued…Looking forward to seeing more of your work…
Question for you all. Mum’s started playing with pastels, someone gave me some for my birthday and I didn’t want them. Does she need special paper for doing her pastels or will watercolour paper do, it’s all I have and I don’t really want to pay a lot for special paper while she’s still at the very beginning of her learning curve but is having fun!
Margaret if they’re soft pastels she’d be better with something with a tooth to it so that the pastels stick. I believe you can just use cheap kids coloured sugar-type paper, or the stuff you get in old fashioned scrap books. Obviously the results will be better on posh paper, but you can get her some of that if she enjoys using them.
Fatema, she’s already had a go on some cheap watercolour paper and she had so much fun drawing a tree a field and a fence that she forgot to get the evening meal on!
Morning all, lovely work, especially love the seascapes and roses today. I’m have a few problems with my laptop it seems, yesterday I was convinced I had posted a reply and it wasn’t showing and this morning I went to check last mights reply and it was still showing in the ‘text box’ unposted, been having a few problems with other things going really slow too :(, might ask hubs to run a cleaning programme or something.
Great to hear your Mum is getting creative Margaret
I haven’t had a painting fix in a few days but am planning on having a session this morning, inspired by all the gardening we have been doing and planning …
Fatema - I have ideas pop into my head all the time, drives me insane sometimes, especially when I’m trying to sleep! Anyway, I have a book dedicated to my ideas, I sketch in there, sometimes I just write a description of what thought I’ve had. Then when I have time to get creative I browse the book, most of the ideas never materialise, but it’s good to get them on paper!!
Morning all.
Margaret, I used to also use paper from kids scrapbooks…easily bought in places like Wilkinsons…pastels look good on coloured paper…I spent years doing pastel portraits and always on coloured rough paper.
Waving Maria,Hazel and Max…great work Max…
Just listed this one.

Morning everyone. Max, your peacock feather is truly beautiful - I think it’s my favourite of yours to date. And, Stephie, the butterflies are fabulous. The beach setting is perfect for them.
Thank you everyone for all the advice on cards. My printer doesn’t do greeting cards so I think I’ll give Moo a go just for starters. If the cards sell I’ll look into something more professional.
Brenda - I’m in awe of your versatility and productivity, is there anything you can’t do art wise.
Hope everyone’s having a good week. No painting for me at the moment as we have guests and a busy weekend coming up. I’ve promised to make a start on my husband’s Land Rover next week though.
