Just resized all my photos for the items I was trying to list - and it worked! Picture quality is quite poor though, but at least I managed to list an item

Thank you Eileen thats great advice I will look into better titles and get more involved with the forum i didnāt know there was a showcase part I will find that after the school run. I was admittedly having abit of a panic freaky deaky in my last post I know itās alot of hard work and takes time to become know Iāve actually sold a couple of pieces on ebay in the last half hour which is a boost and will stop husband moaning lol so deep breath smile carry on lol thank you for your feedback I will start working on your suggestions this afternoon have an awesome day! Just logged in while at work and most of the pictures have disappeared againā¦only a couple of pictures on the home page.
I just looked at my shop and everything was there, but if I clicked on an item to look at it the pictures vanishā¦
Yes, all the pictures have disappeared againā¦not goodā¦how can people buy if they cannot see the picsā¦do we all get refunds??
I am not getting any pictures, Iāve clicked on different categories, but nothing, it does appear to be trying to load, but nothing happening. Front page nothing either.

I can not load any pictures, therefore canāt list! I get the Red Error logo too. I am not doing anything different than I usually do. It seems like this has been going on for a a day or two now.
Has there been any progress on what might be the problem or glitch, Folksy Admin @sianfolksy ? I am sure you are digging deep to sort it out, as you always do.

PS - Sorry, just seen your update on this, further up the thread. I hope things get sorted as you hope.
What I donāt understand having read the update posted by Sian above, is that they think the problem is caused by pics being over 1mb. I sized mine to a little below 1mb though after following the initial guide to photo uploads and my profile pic etc is definately below that.
Just hope it is fixed soon.
Thought it was just me! Yet itās allowed me to download an image onto the October listing thread.
Iāve resized manually to 680 and the photos load fine at this level, while remaining clear.

Quick update. Unfortunately we now need to wait until the early hours of the morning to deploy the fix to avoid any further unnecessary disruption to the service.
Please keep an eye on http://status.folksy.com/ for further updates from Doug.
Again, please note that it is affecting images that are over 1MB in size, so it should be possible to upload images to listings if you are able to re-size them to 1MB or smaller.
@AwlSmith - the banner issue is separate but weāre looking into that too.
@WonderlandFound - the forums are a separate service and so are unaffected

I was having problems for the past few days, luckily decided to come into the forums. Iāve manually resized (pixel wise) my photos and theyāve uploaded. Phew! Have loads to list.
I still canāt upload any new photos. I can look at listings now and they keep their photos and my active listings have photos now but still canāt list new one. I work off galaxy S4 phone and I donāt have option to resize photos to 1MB cos I know this is working for some. Is anyone else still having problems or are your accounts ok now?
I havenāt tried listing anything new, but I still canāt change my banner.
Itās still a problem for me uploading photos from either a desktop Pc or iPad, Iāve noticed from the iPad it doesnāt like much colour in the pictures so it just swirls when trying to upload, from my desktop it says āphoto errorā twice in red, can we have a little update on progress please, I have a few new items Iād like to list.

Iāve also just noticed, when you go to list a new item at the top of the page the box next to it āoptionsā the materials check box, itās saying No options, I noticed this last night, something odd going on with it, is it just my systems that are seeing this, or a fault?
Iāve finally managed to list some items, Hurray! However it has not been without its problemsā¦ i can only list one picture, and that is the straight forward shot, no fancy pictures are uploading!! Hopefully i will be able to go in and add some more pictures in the next few days. Iām thinking one picture is better than none. I hope everyone is managing to load pictures now.
Iām brand new to folksy, was planning on spending the weekend starting up shop as I already sell on Etsy. However I canāt even begin on my shop appearance as I canāt upload a banner, profile picture, or even begin on listings.
Not the best start Folksy. Hope this gets fixed soon.
Not managing to load any pictures. This is so frustrating, been going on for days now. As it is such bad weather in Yorkshire thought I would have a day making new jewellery but canāt upload any pictures. How much longer is this going to go on.
I have just read further up the post that it will load pictures under 1mb. Is this going to be permanent or just until the problem is fixed?
I really hoped this problem would be fixed by now. I hate not refreshing my shop with new items. It can have a negative effect for returning customers looking for something new
I donāt want to resize my photos to under 1mb as quality will suffer. Our photos are hugely important as this is what sells our products.
Iām getting worried now that things wonāt return to normal
